Scott Street Mixed Use Development

This 16 storey, approximate 130 unit mixed use project was developed in preparation for Site Plan Approval in The City of Ottawa.

The overall design concept focuses on enhancing the experience at the street and pedestrian level, as well as ensuring the mass of the tower was light and unimposing to the surround neighbourhood, while also addressing its main arterial urban context.  The resulting design strategy maximizes the building envelope within the property’s complex setbacks and boundaries without sacrificing efficiency.

In addition, the importance of integrating a variety of outdoor amenity spaces further drove the approach to its massing, rooftop access locations, strip balconies, and materiality, giving the project its layered and light presence on the street.
