Sarah Fleming

Sarah is a licensed architect with over a decade of experience in the field, working in various firms in both Toronto and Ottawa on a range of project types and locations. Sarah’s main area of expertise is in the design of modern cabins, cottages, and homes, however she also has experience in institutional and commercial work, with a particular interest in community and hospitality design, including restaurant and retail interiors.
Sarah graduated from Carleton University’s Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2009, and a Master of Architecture in 2013. Her thesis, entitled “Productive Residue: Architecture for the Modern Day Vagabond” received distinction and was nominated for the Senate Medal of Outstanding Academic Achievement. Sarah was also a teaching assistant for undergraduate design studios and photography and has a passion for teaching.
Outside of Architecture, Sarah has a fervor for nature and spends much of her time cycling, hiking, paddling, and back country camping with her dog Kaiya. She is also dedicated to making time for art including drawing, painting, photography, and music, as well as crafting including pottery, sewing, and woodworking.
